Services
Installation is included in every quote we provide for the wet pour products. Rubber tiles, gym mats, synthetic grass and accessories can be purchased under the DIY format. For all the wet pour products and custom made CWC, our own crews carry out the works – we do not subcontract it out – which is why we can stand behind the finished result and warranties on workmanship and materials. Proudly a Western Australia company with over 30 years servicing the market.
Maintenance and Repair
Australian Standards require playground owners to regularly inspect and maintain their facility. Retech Rubber can prepare a customised playground maintenance schedule. Regular playground inspections will help protect the investment you have made in your playground, and will help maintain your playground in safe working order. Our team also carry on repairs, extensions and adds on existing rubber surfaces that needs attention. Please do not hesitate to contact us for advice and pricing on this regard.
Design Ideas
Designing a playground is a complex task that requires knowledge of childrens' play, family needs, community needs, site assessment skills, design skills, playground standards, construction methods and the ability to communicate with all stakeholders. Retech Rubber’s Surface Consultants are experienced in all these tasks.
We are experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of design and construction professionals, as well as helping people who have limited experience of the steps involved in building a playground. We are able to support the design documentation of your playground with the provision of layout plans, 3D renders and photo matches as required.
Western Australia has some of the best playgrounds in the world and Retech Rubber’s Surface Consultants are proud to have been involved in the provision of many of these playgrounds.
Measures and Quotes
Installing a rubber safety surface is easy with Retech Rubber. From quotation to installation we can guide you through every step of the process.
A request from the client for a quote. This is usually on a pro-forma document that outlines the scope of works, the set pricing for each stage of the work to be undertaken.
The process of the installation of rubber safety surfaces usually follows the following steps:
A request from the client for a quote. This is usually on a pro-forma document that outlines the scope of works, the set pricing for each stage of the work to be undertaken.
Discussion with the client with regards to the technical aspects of the task including levels, responsibilities and relevant local issues.
A purchase order is raised by the client outlining all requirements including verification of pricing, colours required and timing of project.
At appointed time we prepare site as discussed to accept the installation of the rubber.
Usually the first installation is of the base of “cushion” layer that is calculated based upon the fall height of play equipment to be installed. We use premium shred rubber that adheres well in our base layer.
Once the base layer is cured (usually 24 hours or overnight) we install the top coloured presentation or “wear” layer. This layer is usually 15mm thick in a coloured EPDM granule.
We then advise the client of the completion of our work so that security such as fencing may be removed. We recommend that the client then inspects the work prior to the play area being opened to the public.
